We are interested in metal alloy surfaces, especial those alloys that exhibit electron corellation effects. Some of these alloys have attracted great interest lately, e.g. toplogical insulators (see image: Bi2Se3) or iron-pnictide superconductors. Our aim is to grow these alloys as thin films and nanostructures at surfaces and to study their coupling to the substrate and corellation effects in low dimensions.
This project is awaiting interested coworkers willing to test ideas in reality.
